Careers - Join the Kestrel Air Duct Cleaning Team

Join Our Team

Most people don’t think much about what’s inside their ductwork. We do, every single day. The job is hands-on, specific, and satisfying in a way that desk work rarely is – you show up, you do the work, you can see and document the difference before you leave. At Kestrel, you’re not a number on a dispatch sheet. You work with a local crew that knows the trade, under a national brand that has run every job the same way since 2004. Written price before work starts. A defined arrival window. Leave the place cleaner. Put the guarantee in writing. Come back if it fails. That’s not a poster on the break room wall – it’s how we actually operate, every visit, no exceptions.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Air Duct Cleaning Technician: The person who thrives in crawlspaces and attics as much as on a clean job site, and takes pride in doing the physical work right the first time.
  • Lead Technician / Crew Lead: Someone who’s been in the trade, can read a duct system quickly, and is comfortable walking a homeowner through what was found and what was done.
  • Apprentice Technician: You’re mechanically inclined, you follow direction well, and you’re ready to learn a real skill from people who do this for a living – no prior duct experience required.
  • Dryer Vent Cleaning Specialist: Detail-oriented, methodical, and the kind of person who isn’t satisfied until the airflow test reads the way it should.
  • Dispatcher / Scheduling Coordinator: Calm under pressure, clear on the phone, and good at keeping a schedule tight without dropping anyone – this role keeps the whole operation running.
  • Customer Service Representative: You answer questions plainly, you don’t make promises you can’t keep, and you leave every caller feeling like they reached someone who actually knew what they were talking about.

What We Offer

Real Training and a Clear Path Forward

We don’t hand new technicians a manual and point them at a house. You start alongside experienced crew members, learning the equipment – Rotobrush rotary brush systems, Nikro negative-pressure units, Abatement Technologies HEPA filtration – before you’re running a job on your own. Apprentices who put in the work move into lead roles. That path is real, and it’s happened more than once.

Work You Can Stand Behind

The Kingswell Guarantee isn’t a marketing line. It means the price you quote is the price the customer pays, the guarantee is in writing on every job, and if something falls short inside the 365-Day Done Right Promise window, you go back and fix it. That standard makes the job harder in some ways – but it also means you never have to apologize for how the company operates.

Local Crew, National Backbone

Each Kestrel location is independently owned and operated, which means you work with the same people every day and you’re part of a real local business – not a rotating cast of contract workers. At the same time, you’re backed by a brand that has refined how this job gets done since 2004, with professional-grade equipment and a values code called The Kingswell Way that applies to every location equally.

Steady, Year-Round Demand

Air quality concerns don’t have a slow season. Dryer vent cleaning is a genuine safety service that homeowners need on a regular schedule. The work isn’t feast-and-famine the way some trades are, and that steadiness matters when you’re building a career rather than just filling time between other things.

No Experience? Read This.

If you’ve worked in HVAC, plumbing, pest control, or any trade that puts you inside homes and requires you to explain what you’re doing to a homeowner, you already know more than you think. The same goes for people who’ve done facilities maintenance, auto mechanics, or any hands-on work that demands patience and attention to detail.

What we teach is the duct cleaning process itself – how negative pressure works, how to move through a system without making a mess, how to read before-and-after conditions and document them honestly. The first months look like this: you’re alongside a lead technician, watching, then assisting, then running sections of the job with someone nearby. We’re not looking for people who already know everything. We’re looking for people who show up, pay attention, and care whether the work was done right. If that’s you, the rest is teachable.
